My Journey: Spring 2008
I entered Laos by crossing the Mekong River from Thailand.
We made our way down the river to Luang Prabang and
continued down stream to the capital city of Vientiane--often considered the sleepiest capital city in the world.  The whole of Laos feels as though it is the most untouched by the outside world.  The people I met seemed to happily live their lives by the cycles of the sun and currents of the river.  It felt like while being in Laos time moved slowly and sometimes left altogether.  It just might be my favorite place in the world.

Ask me why this peaceful rural country is the most bombed country of all time.
