ter of the city and rolling mountains on three sides--when the air is clear, it is stunning.

I also was able to visit the nearby cities of Shanghai and Ningbo.  My wife and I took a vacation to the tropical Chinese Island of Hainan.  Beijing was surprisingly dirty and hazy but seeing the Great Wall of China is a once in a lifetime experience.
