My Journey: Spring 2008
My wife's grandfather emigrated from Finland as a boy just before WWII.  The family is still close and sees each other as
often as can be.  We visited two of my wife's cousins at their home near the capital of Helsinki.  Finland reminded me a lot of Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.  It is easy to see why many Scandinavian immigrants settled in these similar feeling locations.

Finns have a great tradition of working hard and playing hard when the work is done.  Hunting, fishing, and hot saunas keep a good Finn busy during those long, dark, cold winter months.
